The first annual NHL Head to Head competition between six Penn State alumns begins in less than a week. Six of us are vying for the coveted Le Coupe Hauxer, awarded to the player(s) whose NHL team has the best record aganist the four common opponents. The loser(s) are awarded the Stanley Screwdriver, because they have to buy everyone dinner at the justly famous Vienna Inn -- they get screwed.

Anyway, here is how it breaks down:

New Jersey Devils - Brad Stratton
Philadephia Flyers - Laman "Wiley" Snyder
Pittsburgh Penguines - Sam Basile/Jake Muha
Washington Capitals - Fritz Hamme/William F. Yurasko

The matchup gets to a roaring start with Pittsburgh opening up at New Jersey on Oct. 5.
