La Coupe Hauxer

A battle for hockey bragging rights through head to head competition between each of our favorite teams - Devils (Brad), Flyers (Wiley), Penguins (Sam), and Capitals (Fritz/William). The winner(s) gets the historic La Coupe Hauxer and the universal currency of respect/adminiration. The loser(s) gets the Stanley Screwdriver, the universal currency of humiliation and has to buy everyone dinner at the Vienna Inn. Game on!

Let's wrap this up sirs!

So when are we gonna settle this up, Fridays still work for me, or if we wait just a few more weeks, I will be off Saturdays soon, hopefully by the end of May. We must still crown a winner and of course I must pony up for dinner. Thoughts? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

June 9 is the tentative housewarming party date, so that doesn't work.

The real question is when are we going to have the shootout?

The problem as I see it is there are 2 Pengyunz fanatics to every one Devils fan. (Real life reflects that ratio as well). Plus, given the fact that all 3 participants involved have children, coordinating a shootout or any other activity could be difficult.

Honestly, and I can't speak for Muha, but I'm willing to conceed. The first tiebreaker, realistically, is head-to-head and the Pens lost that. The 2nd tiebreaker, playoff advancement, goes to the Devils as well. The Pens seem to have lost this thing fair and square.

The problem with a shootout is that Sam would have a distinct advantage. He used to play hockey. I did not. If there is a tiebreaker, it needs to be something every competitor has an equal or nearly equal chance to win at.
