La Coupe Hauxer

A battle for hockey bragging rights through head to head competition between each of our favorite teams - Devils (Brad), Flyers (Wiley), Penguins (Sam), and Capitals (Fritz/William). The winner(s) gets the historic La Coupe Hauxer and the universal currency of respect/adminiration. The loser(s) gets the Stanley Screwdriver, the universal currency of humiliation and has to buy everyone dinner at the Vienna Inn. Game on!

Caps score on Hextal one last time

Ron Hextal night? Ha! How appropriate that the Capitals came in and ruined it, like Dale Hunter's 1988 game 7 goal on Hextal.

Who'd have thought that the Flyers would be so hospitable? On the day after Thanksgiving, the Capitals went into Philthadelphia and defeated the Flyers on an overtime goal by Nicklas Backstrom. That was 34 games ago -- the Caps were last in the conference then, but now they are first in the division and on a 20-10-4 run!

The Philthy Flyers just can't do anything right....although it does keep the Penguins near first place in the Atlantic.

    Bring on the Flyers! (Sunday).....
